Verified ReviewerCleaning Authoruty without my authorization charged my account for an extra hour.
I contacted the service provider multiple times with no response. This included the franchise.
It was not alot of money but the cleaning job was not good, the cleaners arrived more then 30 minutes late and sat out in their car for about a half hour then charged me an extra hour.
One of the team was supposed to speak English. The team of two were unable to communicate.
Cleaning Authority team 2 non-English speaking women arrived over 1/2 hour late. When they left, I noticed them sitting in their car 2 houses down.
They charged me for time they were not at my home. There would be no way that it would take two people to clean a 1,300 sq ft house with 2 bedrooms and one bath.
I never received a receipt, which I asked for multiple times, and was not aware of the error till I received my credit card statement. The cleaning job was not good.
- Ignored texts

- Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach location did a poor clean and left the house dirty.
- They charged $100/hour for 3 hours ($300) and did not clean fridge or oven.
Ive used the Cleaning Authority in the past at different locations. I have to say that the Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach location is absolutely the worst.
I hired The Cleaning Authority to do a deep clean as I am putting my house on the market.
I requested that the inside of my refrigerator and the inside of my oven be cleaned as well.
They charge me $100 per hour and it took them three hours. What I was left with was a house that was so dirty I had to go back and re-clean it before I could schedule an open house.
Instead of cleaning the inside of my freezer thoroughly they wiped down a few shelves and just rearranged the food to hide the worst places on the worst shelves. Also, cleaned that myself. The oven was a joke.
I had her go back and clean more of the grime out of my oven and it still looks nasty. Mind you, I self cleaned my oven days before they arrived.
The floors were filthy, including the bathroom floors. I noticed several spots that were there prior to them showing up. The spots were still there when they left so I re-moped them and sent a picture of the wet pad that was just thick with brown dirt.
I also needed to go back and actually dust my furniture. They used a feather duster to knock some of the dust off. To me that is not a deep CLEAN. When I went back to wipe and polish each piece, the rag was filthy.
I contacted them and sent them pictures and the only response I received a WEEK later was, Sorry, I guess they made a mistake.
MISTAKE? If I wasnt so angry and disappointed I wouldve laughed at that remark.
Just try to get ahold of anybody locally to answer questions or raise concerns with. Thats nearly impossible, they dont respond and they dont answer the phone. If they do get back to you they have a lame excuse via text.
The only mistake that was made was hiring them in the first place because it turned out to be a $300 mistake.
I still cant believe that I spent $300 for them to vacuum my floors and wipe down my counters.
I do that myself each week.
Moving while selling a house is stressful on its own without having to deal with dishonest vendors. NEVER AGAIN.

Complaint about quality of work
- Reclean promised, but slow and the same team never returns.
- Photos of sloppy work were ignored; credits followed complaints; beware of Salem, Oregon.
The Cleaning Authority has a policy of returning to reclean your house if you are not satisfied. The problem is that it can take days and the same team doesnt return so they dont learn from the mistakes they are making.
There is no accountability. I regularly sent pictures to the main office showing sloppy work-grease left on the stove, streaky or missed appliances, floors and counters, ad nauseum. Nothing ever changed. I started requesting they credit my account by what they deemed to be an appropriate amount for their sloppy work.
This got their attention.
Instead of training their staff, they basically fired me by telling me we werent a good fit.
I have a clean house now because I do it myself and my valuables are no longer being broken. Be wary of The Cleaning Authority in Salem, Oregon.
User's recommendation: Demand accountability. They charge way too much for the work they do.
Base Pay
- The job ad shows $13/hour in New Jersey.
- NJ minimum wage for non-tipped work is $15.13/hour.
I'm not writing as a customer I'm writing as somebody who is looking for work I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that you are paying $13 an hour. I am your reading your ad in the state of New Jersey where the base pay for minimum wage is $15.13 an hour that is what is legal this is not a tipped profession how can you get away with paying $13 an hour??? that's illegal if you want to answer me I'd love to hear your response and explanation for such a low pay rate.
Horrible cleaning company
- The company underpays employees and forces them to skip breaks.
- Do not use them; cleaning is unsanitary in roach-infested, moldy apartments.
This company under pays its employees frequently has them skip breaks and lunches and has them clean in such an unsanitary way it's baffling.. went from cleaning a cockroach infested apartment that should've been condemned filled with black mold etc...
to a brand new beautiful 2,000 sq ft home with the same equipment... I could go on and on don't use them and definitely don't work for them..

Verified ReviewerPoor quality service and cheated by owner
- Estimate $240, billed $370 for a $150 clean.
- Not cleaned: floor, fans, furniture, blinds; $10 credit offered and follow-up visit charged.
Cleaning Authority has not refunded. They have refused.
I was over charged for a full detail clean. The original estimate was $240 and I was billed $370.
The actual clean done was a regular clean of value $150.
Areas on floor not cleaned, fans, furniture not clean, blinds dirty, other areas included in detail not cleaned.
When I contacted the office to notify them of the missing areas that would have been part of just regular clean, the owner offered me a $10 credit and said I will be charged for someone to come out and do the missed cleaning areas. Very poor quality, service and dishonest owner.
- Poor quality of cleaning
Preferred solution: Full refund
Everyone they came they did a bad job.
- Dirty rags and mop; dust; sheets upside down; pillows on floor.
- Counters not wiped; windows streaked.
- Fired.
i have pictures of the places they said they cleaned and the rags were black. floor mop was dirty after they cleaned.
counters were not wiped. i have pictures of all the dust and dirt. sheets and bedspreads were put on up side down, pillows with clean pillow cases were put on the floor. cleaned windows were streaked, supervisor saw the mess, they offered to come back and clean but i had company coming so did it myself.
after being charged for something they did not tell me was a charge i was fed up and fired them. it was almost a $1,000 in cleaning fees.

I tried to make an appointment for cleaning and organizing my basement. The left a voicemail to call them back.
When I called them stating that I wanted them to clean and organize, they said that they dont do that.
Geez, that is what their website indicates that they do. Based on the reviews here, I am glad that they dont do cleaning!

- Ryan, the owner, was professional and nice; pricing seemed reasonable.
- Staff changes and ignored notes; higher rates and slow follow-up.
Would strongly not recommend. No accountability, poor customer service, and poor quality.
Ryan, the owner of the business, met with us for the first meeting.
He was very nice and professional. Their services were reasonably priced and seemed like a well oiled machine. We were promised a dedicated team with the same staff and field manager each week. We went into extreme detail on the areas of the house we wanted cleaned and elements we did not want touched like our art.
The first couple of cleans were ok.
Not the cleanest the house has been, but also clearly worked on. After a few weeks, we noticed we no longer had the same team anymore. The crew was different and didn't have any of the notes we gave. The field manager was inconsistent and we couldn't tell what parts of the house were deep cleaned.
Their arrival times varied with no clear communication of consistency.
I complained multiple times to the field manager about poor service and elements of the house that seemingly had not been touched. One day I came home to find that multiple parts of the house hadn't been cleaned at all. I called Ryan who was shocked as he said all of the field manager reports were nothing but amazing reviews from us, which obviously was not the case. The field manager had not been reporting our notes back to the team.
Ryan said everything would be fixed and gave us 50% off our next clean.
For the next clean, I decided to monitor it via our cameras, and let the cleaners know ahead of time. To my shock, I witnessed them resting mops against valuable art that they were asked not to touch, skipping over sections of the house, and being dishonest about reporting arrival times. All while they knew we were watching! They fully forgot to clean an entire section of the house.
I walked through the house with the field manager after who was dishonest about the sections cleaned. I showed her the proof and the actual cobwebs between stair posts.
The Cleaning Authority team said they would switch out the crew to a new crew and field manager. However, were slow to follow up. They finally followed up with a new team, but alerted me that they would be raising the rates of the clean as our, "clean is a very meticulous clean that takes time and we have to cover our costs." The irony was not lost on me that they were finding us a new team because the current team had to be replaced as it wasn't meticulous.
Their timing was hilarious and in-line with the horrible customer service they give.
They promise a dedicated team, attentive field managers, and the highest quality of work.
They deliver a revolving door of new people that don't know your house, little to no attention to detail, and a poor quality clean and customer service. You're better off cleaning the house yourself.

- They reuse dirty trash bags to collect trash throughout the house.
- They refused to wear footies, and the service did not match the website.
They have a policy to take out a used (yes, dirty) trash bag and reuse it to collect trash throughout the house. It is supposed to save from using wasteful bags, but what is wrong with using one fresh clean trash bag to do it.
I caught them dragging around a wet, stained and foul trash bag that some old food seeped onto in my kitchen trash and they were carrying it room to room to collect up the other trash. I told the owner they were contaminating my house with the dirty bag, she told me not to tell her how to run her business.
This company prides itself as being green, but is truly disgusting. We bought them footies to wear over there sneakers, and they refused to wear them.
What you get is nothing like advertised on their website. I suggest you have someone home to view their work, we thought they were doing a descent job before we actually saw them in action.
Please be cautious in using them.

Stealing.
- Poor communication and unhelpful staff led to cancellation.
- Jewelry stolen from my box: three diamond earrings and a necklace; no proof who did it.
After I cancelled my service because I wasnt able to communicate or talk a conversation with them, and they didnt seem to know what they were doing. At one point we had to call the office to get a simple question answered.
Another time I wanted to pay for the previous cleaning and they didnt want to take my payment. Again had to call the office.
I was willing to forget the small things, but now I have discovered they had gone through my jewelry box and I am missing three pairs diamond earrings and one necklace. I know there isnt much I can do because I cannot prove who exactly took these items.
- I never knew what time you were coming
- Lack of professionalism
- Cannot speak english-no communitiion
- Missing property
Preferred solution: Return items diamond earrings total value $1,000-$1,500.

Long hours, mediocre results, lots of money paid, house seems same as before, no clear communication, if it's one time use, seems they just care about putting in lots of hours and does not matter the results. No contact after other than email about your last charge.
Will never use again. I had to show many mistakes, missed spots, and the re-do's at my expense.

Broken storm door, no reimbursement, poor quality
- Initial service was good but declined, as three cleaners entered the wrong address and broke the storm door.
- Kim says it's not their responsibility.
I was using this cleaning service since late last year. The first two times they came I would say were pretty good.
Quality of service definitely went down hill after the first few times.
Also, I have a severely disabled neighbor whos house they would try and go into, not paying attention to the address on the mailbox.
I finally had it, 3 weeks ago.
I was home 3 cleaning people went to come in my door. Broke the storm door. I took pictures, immediately called Young Kim (owner of the Abington sector) informed him of the situation, he told me to let him know how much it would cost to fix.
Because the damage I could only get a new storm door.
I had a company come out and give me a fair estimate, gave it to Mr. Kim, to which he claimed it was NOT their responsibility however in good faith he would give me 2 free cleanings?
DO NOT use this company!!!!!!!!!!!
- Poor customer service
- Attitudes
- Dishonesty
Preferred solution: Pay for the broken door that Young Kim (Abington, PA) Team caused.

The Cleaning Authority - Review in Cleaning Services category from Phoenix, Arizona
- Tried this company three times; all experiences were bad and items were broken.
- They scratched the dresser, called me a liar, and Patrick was smug.
I have tried this company on three different occasions and all were bad experiences. They broke items that were not replaceable, and the management did not seem to care.
They scratched the top of my dresser and then called me a lair. The owner Patrick was very smug and condescending. Did not think that 2 cleaning persons were able to clean a 1600.sq foot house in ONE hour. Sorry not doable.
I even had management and their inspector come out. They admitted that things were missed and not done correctly, and still on the next service it seemed to get worse. The initial cleaning was not done practically at all, and it just got worse from there. I Recommend NOT USING this company, the Cleaning Authority in Chandler.
Terrible service!! I think instead of cleaning the house they are only allowed to spend an hour at each home more or less by not much.
That is why things got broken, and the cleaning is sub par!! Not worth the money!
