Jan 31, 2008 The Cleaning Authority complaint by Jill |
Well, today was supposed to be my 4th scheduled clean. Although they show up at different times each week, the folks are usually here by noon. So at 1, I call to ask when they're coming. The response: "uhhh... can you hold?". Turns out I was on the schedule but not really on the schedule. I was told the owner would call back. Two hours later, I called again... same response. Finally I get a call back around 4pm (I'm not home) and the message FROM THE FRANCHISE OWNER (!!) says something like "Gee, sorry, we can't make it today, so we can see you in 2 weeks (my next scheduled cleaning) or you can find someone else if you feel you need to!" (!!!???) The perky, nonchalant tone of voice just adds insult to injury. It appears that keeping existing customers really isn't a priority.
And if you were wondering about the actual service, it was really hit or miss. The first visit (surprise) was fantastic (6 people!); the second was mediocre (2 people), the third average (one lone woman!). Guess I'm finding someone else!

Yes i do agree with what is said. I used to manage a Cleaning authority. wellthe owner was my ex-Fiance. and what is really sad is that even though if the cleaning procedures are followed to the T then it is a good service. sometime i know the teams will not follow because of the time they are supposed to spend in a house, is set by mostly Price and what they are being paid. As far as a franchise. The fees are one of the worst out there. I could not belive what they took out and after you paid your employees. and other cost .. well you could make more money flipping burgers. unless you have over 20+ teams at say 11.00 hr per employee. it is not worth it. and the employees have to rush through the house because they want to get done and make there premium pay. not the minimal pay if they go over the time on this list or driving time. But yes cleaning companies are a dime a dozen, you are better off getting someone who is doing it on there own, you are putting money in there pocket wich they need, and they generaly do a better job,. FYI She has closed the doors on 4/2/2008 due too the franchise taking too much money out vs the profit the company made.

Doug's comment above is assinine. This consumer DID contact the Cleaning Authority and was assured the owner would call her back - which did not happen for another 2 hours and was compeltely unapologetic and non-responsive to her needs as a patron of this business. As far as feedback goes, exactly what kind of feedback should she have left - they NEVER sowed up to do their job! I say find another cleaning company - they're a dime a dozen. Who needs shoddy customer service?? And by the way, DOUG - this forum is called "pissed consumer" in case you hadn't noiticed before you decided to ream this person for airing their complaint here -- this is precisely the place to do it.

I'm sure that you were not promised 6 people on the first clean. I am also confident that you could have gotten your desired results had you contacted the company instead of whining about it here. It really gets old when people expect different results but do not let the people that can provide those different results the information to provide better service. Its called feedback and when done correctly you will almost always get what you want. What you expect is for them to be mind readers. Won't happen.
